In het charmante stadje Charleville-Mézières, op enkele kilometers van België en Luxemburg, komen de populairste artiesten van Frankrijk en daarbuiten bijeen op het Cabaret Vert festival. Van 17 tot 21 augustus worden vijf dagen van uitzonderlijke muziek in een uniek kader aangeboden.
Dit is één van de concerten die ons het meest is bijgebleven tijdens Musilac 2022, in Aix-Les-Bains, in het oosten van Frankrijk. Declan McKenna is een van de zeven favorieten van deze editie. Aan de rand van het grootste natuurlijke meer van Frankrijk kwamen we McKenna tegen. Hij vertelde ons over zijn relatie met Franse festivals en venues, maar ook over zijn gedenkwaardige show op Glastonbury. Een terugblik op intense optredens.
alt-J staat weer op de planken tijdens Musilac na een overweldigend concert in 2015. We denken met veel plezier terug aan deze adembenemende show en kijken uit naar hun nieuwe set aan de oevers van Lac du Bourget in Frankrijk. Iedereen kent het nummer Prayer in C van Lilly Wood and the Prick, geremixt door Robin Shulz, het op één na meest geshazamde nummer ter wereld. Ken je de geschiedenis van deze band, en hun relatie met hun publiek? Het Franse duo sprak met ons af op Musilac, aan de oevers van Lac du Bourget, een paar uur voordat ze voor de derde keer op een van de meest iconische festival van Frankrijk zouden spelen.
Op zondag 10 juli treedt Metronomy op het podium van de Montagne op, kort voor de komst van The Chemical Brothers, de laatste show van het Musilac Festival in 2022. Voorafgaand aan hun gedenkwaardige concert aan de oevers van het iconische Lac du Bourget in Frankrijk, ontmoetten wij Joseph, de leadzanger van de band, en spraken met hem over festivals.
Het Festileaks-team is op woensdag 13 juli afgereisd naar het festival les Francofolies de La Rochelle, aan de Atlantische kust. Om 5 dagen lang ondergedompeld te worden in de Franstalige muziek. Op het programma: Atypische optredens in een prachtige stad, met als uitsmijter het heerlijk zonnetje. Laten we eens terugblikken op de momenten die dit festival uniek maakt.
Zoals elk jaar kunnen we ook dit jaar weer wat namen toevoegen aan het lijstje memorabele optredens op het Musilac festival. Velen van hen hebben al een keer op de podium naast het meer van Aix les Bains gespeeld, en zij hebben ons allen een gedenkwaardig souvenir nagelaten. Laten we voor deze twintigste editie terugkomen op enkele van de mooiste momenten van Musilac.
Het Musilac festival terrein bevindt zich in de buurt van de kleine stad Aix les Bain, een uurtje rijden vanuit Zwitserland. Het is een prachtig contrast, de drie podia afgezet tegen het idyllische landschap van Frankrijk, aan de voet van het grootste natuurlijke meer van het land. De afgelopen twintig jaar heeft het festival de grootste artiesten en bands al verwelkomd. 2022 is hierop geen uitzondering, dit jaar is er zelfs uitgepakt met een speciale vijf daagse editie. Mooie mix van ingrediënten om van 6 tot 10 juli er een onvergetelijk weekend van te maken.

Worakls is a French electronic artist that played at Delta Festival on Friday 27th August in Marseille, France. As he has different musical projects on stage, he came here with Worakls² so as a duet with Antonin, his cellist. With his album "Orchestra", the artist mixes electronic music with classical music to create tracks that transmits a lot of emotion. He accepted to have a talk with us just before coming on stage. We could talk about his discography, but also about his values and the artist he likes, like Hans Zimmer.
