Biffy Clyro have announced that their much anticipated MTV Unplugged show will be aired on MTV at 9 pm on 15 May 2018. The MTV Unplugged album will be released on the same date and will be followed by several unplugged shows in Europe.
Biffy Clyro took the stage at the Roundhouse in London on 8 November 2017 to do an MTV Unplugged show. Since then, most die-hard fans have been waiting for a glimpse of the show. Now, they will not have to wait much longer! Save the date: the Biffy Clyro Unplugged show will be aired on MTV (Sky 126 / Virgin 134) at 9 pm on Friday 25 May. The song ‘Many of Horror’ from the unplugged show has also been posted on the MTV page.
The MTV Unplugged album will be released on the same date. It will be available in digital, CD/DVD and a special vinyl/CD/DVD boxset. One can pre-order here.
Furthermore, the band have announced various MTV Unplugged tour dates:
- 25 September 2018 – Paris, Bataclan.
- 27 September 2018 – Munich, Philharmonie.
- 28 September 2018 – Berlin, Admiralspalast.
- 29 September 2018 – Frankfurt, Alte Oper.
- 1 October 2018 – Milan, Teatro Del Verme.
- 2 October 2018 – Zürich, Theatre 11.
- 3 October 2018 – Amsterdam, Paradiso.
They will also play seven extra shows in Ireland and the UK in September. The band will also play at a handful of summer festivals, such as Tinderbox 2018.

Biffy Clyro are a Scottish rock band formed in 1995. The members are Simon Neil (lead vocals and guitar), James Johnston (vocals, bass) and Ben Johnston (vocals, drums). So far, they have released seven albums with the eighth album coming out soon. Many of their songs, such as ‘Many of Horror’, ‘Mountains’ and ‘Bubbles’, have made it to many top ten lists and have won numerous awards.
