AC/DC to tour again with Brian Johnson

According to the American radio DJ Eddie Trunk, the legendary hard rock band AC/DC will be touring again with Brian Johnson after he was forced to quit in 2016 due issues that threatened his hearing.

AC/DC released their latest studio album Rock or Bust in 2014. However, the band’s frontman since 1980, Brian Johnson, was replaced during the last leg of the tour by Axl Rose, after suffering hearing loss.

Since last summer, it has been speculated that AC/DC is currently working on a new album that would feature the work of their late rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, while members of the band including Brian Johnson have all been seen in a studio in Vancouver, where the band had previously recorded their last three studio albums. Moreover, earlier this year, the American band Terrorizer confirmed that after meeting Brian Johnson at an airport, he told them that he would feature on the new album and that he was ”sick of denying it”.

Now, during his show, Eddie Trunk has revealed that “reliable sources” have told him that AC/DC is will be touring again with Brian Johnson on vocals. He also then added that the band ”are going to release some sort of record, and it will be a tribute to Malcolm Young”. In addition, longtime AC/DC engineer Mike Fraser confirmed during an interview last month that the rock legends had been recording in the studio.

The Australian legends have released one of the most well-known rock anthems like ‘Highway to Hell’, ‘T.N.T’, and ‘Thunderstruck’. They are known for their live performances and a recognizable part of the rock culture. Within their 45 years of career, they have released 15 studio albums. Their last album, Rock or Bust was released back in 2014. In November 2017, Malcolm Young, the rhythm guitarist, and also the brother of lead guitarist Angus, passed away.
